Czardas by V. Monti is an iconic solo violin piece that has been played all over the place. I wanted to make a version of this for a small ensemble with a twist. Instead of having only one solo violinists, why not have two? In this piece the two violin parts are battling back and forth to see who exactly is the ‘better’ soloist! Not only does this add allow for smaller groups to play, but gives the audience a new version of such an iconic piece. Who will win...Violin I or Violin II?
