This piece was originally written for my orchestration class where we were required to make a percussion ensemble piece. In this song I wanted to try and create some sort of cool percussion groove that fades in and out with a whistle as a transition point. After the drums build, they stop and open up to a melody that sounds familiar to everyone. This piece is a great start for getting your group into percussion ensembles!
